Horse accommodation and camping:
Standard Yard $12 per horse per night
Camping non-powered $12 per night per truck/float
Camping powered $22 per night per truck/float/caravan

The NZPCA First Start regulations state the following:
PREAMBLE: These Regulations were introduced in October 2015 and were developed to meet the growing needs of our young and inexperienced pony club members. They provide opportunities for new and inexperienced riders to practice the necessary riding skills in a safe competition environment. They are not designed for experienced riders to educate young or inexperienced horses/ponies. Riders that have competed at 65cms and higher will not be accepted in First Start. Riders in classes 8 or 9 or 13, cannot enter classes 1-7 & 10-12.
Classes 1-7 & 10-12 are open to all riders, all ages. Except those entered in either Class 8 or 9 or 13.
Class 8 First Start level 3 maximum age 17 as at Friday Sept 11 2026. Can only enter Class 8. No lead rein allowed.
Class 9 First Start Level 3 18 years and over (Adults). Can only enter Class 9. No lead rein allowed.
Class 13 First Start Level 2 maximum age 17 as at Friday Sept 11 2026. Can only enter Class 13. No lead rein allowed. XC contains obstacles and halt box rather than XC jumps.

HELPERS: EVERY RIDER MUST HELP OR HAVE A HELPER AS CONDITION OF ENTRY.
RULES

All NZPCA events are run under the NZPCA General Regulations, NZPCA Constitution, and Bylaws and ESNZ Eventing Rules as of 1st August 2026.
- Article 611: Reservation of Right. OC may substitute prizes or amend programme.
- NO dogs. You will be asked to leave
- All Competitors MUST nominate a named helper or entry won't be accepted
- Yellow tagged helmets, regulation body protectors and back number holders required, you will need to print your back number once it's emailed to you.
- Competitors compete at their own risk. All persons and vehicles enter the property at their own risk. As per ESNZ Eventing Art 651, all horses while on the competition grounds must have either a personal ID tag or their competition number on at all times.
- Draw will be posted on nominate and emailed to riders where possible
- NZPCA classes: 75% of Entry Fees will be refunded with a Vet Certificate for the horse entered or Medical Certificate for the rider entered if advised prior to 5pm Friday May 8 2026 via email to [email protected] and certificate received within 5 days after the Event. Article 610 – DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY. Neither the Organiser of any event to which these rules apply nor the NF nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to Horses, owners, Athletes, spectators, land, vehicles, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract, or in any other way whatsoever.

The classes listed as ESNZ Competitions will be conducted under the ESNZ General Regulations and the applicable Discipline Rules, FEI Rules will apply where relevant.

By submitting an entry, the Competitor or Person Responsible confirms that they agree to be bound by the ESNZ Constitution, the ESNZ General Regulations, the applicable Discipline Rules and all Event conditions set out in the Schedule, for the purposes of their participation in the ESNZ Competition.

ESNZ, Affiliate Groups, Organising Committees and their officers, officials, agents, employees, volunteers and representatives accept no liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness, including to horses, owners, competitors, spectators, volunteers or property, arising out of or connected with this Event, except to the extent that such liability cannot be lawfully excluded.

Any non ESNZ competitions held at this Event are run independently of ESNZ and ESNZ's insurance (For Members) and ESNZ dispute processes do not apply to those classes.

Professional Services: Equine Therapists and Treatment.

Any equine therapists or practitioners who are not veterinarian and intend to provide therapeutic treatment to equines in any capacity at this event in a private or commercial basis must notify the Organising Committee of any treatment prior to the event.

All practitioners must also comply with the Conditions applicable to this event set out in the Schedule of classes.

Riders who own their equipment (eg Equissage, Cyclossage or similar) are only permitted to treat their own horses with these systems at the event.

Any practitioner receiving financial or other gain from providing therapies at the event will be required to pay a trade exhibitor fee at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

Other Professionals including Freelance Grooms - Any other professional intending on providing services at this event must obtain prior agreement from the Organising Committee – this excludes professional Coaches assisting in the warmup of competitors and grooms that are in part of or full time employment of a competitor.
